Medical Issues Related to Abortion
Complications are possible with any medical procedure, but the most common medical issue when dealing with abortion is the chance of infection. Infection after an abortion can be a serious issue and even become life-threatening. Other problems could be excessive bleeding and damage to the uterus, where the baby develops, causing a woman to have issues having a baby later in life. Some think an alternative is to take the "abortion pil'," a drug called mifepristone that blocks the production of the hormone in a woman that is necessary for development of the baby.
